Features
Ghost Mode
Professional keyboard-first control for navigating and interacting with Hepi without stealing focus from your main task.
Ghost Mode is an advanced interaction layer that allows you to control Hepi entirely via the keyboard without ever switching your Windows focus away from your current application.
Why Use Ghost Mode?
Standard applications require you to “click” them to interact, which steals focus from your browser or exam screen. Ghost Mode uses low-level system hooks to bypass this, allowing you to:
- Navigate Without Focus: Scroll through AI answers or move between buttons while your main app stays active.
- Keyboard-First Input: Type into Hepi’s text fields without clicking into the Hepi window.
- Visual Hints: See dynamic on-screen cues for what keys like
Tab,Enter, andEscapewill do in the current context.
Key Components
- Global Toggle: A dedicated shortcut to enter or exit Ghost Mode instantly.
- Virtual Focus: A subtle highlight that moves between interactive elements inside Hepi.
- Contextual Shortcuts: Navigate menus, scroll through text, and select options using standard navigation keys.
- Language Support: Includes built-in support for Vietnamese Telex typing directly within the Ghost Mode interface.
Getting the Most Out of Ghost Mode
- Toggle Early: Enable Ghost Mode before you start a task where you prefer not to use the mouse.
- Watch the Hints: Hepi displays a navigation hint at the bottom of the interface to remind you of available keys.
- Tab to Move: Use the
Tabkey to cycle through interactive elements like buttons and inputs. - Escape to Reset: Use the
Escapekey to clear focus or exit input modes quickly.
Synergy with Click-Through
Ghost Mode is very useful when used with Click-Through. You can interact with Hepi entirely via keyboard while the Hepi window remains “invisible” to mouse input.
Important Notes
- Windows Optimized: Ghost Mode is specifically engineered for the Windows desktop environment.
- Element Awareness: Keyboard behavior changes intelligently depending on whether you are selecting a button, a link, or a text area.
- Test Your Setup: We recommend practicing with Ghost Mode in a safe environment to become comfortable with the keyboard-first logic before a live session.
