User Guide
Use the Assistant
Ask questions, continue conversations, and add context when you need better answers.
When To Use Chat Assistant
Use Chat Assistant when you want:
- Open-ended help instead of a one-shot answer
- A back-and-forth conversation that gets more specific over time
- To combine your question with captured text or images
- To ask for explanation, rewriting, brainstorming, or step-by-step help
Basic Flow
- Open the Assistant tab.
- Type your question in plain language.
- Add context if the answer depends on something on screen.
- Send the prompt.
- Read the answer and continue the conversation if needed.
- Start a new chat when you want a fresh thread.
What A Good First Prompt Looks Like
A strong prompt usually includes:
- What you need help with
- The format you want back
- Any important context Hepi should consider
For example, instead of asking a very broad question, give Hepi enough direction to know whether you want explanation, summary, rewrite help, or a direct answer.
Add More Context
Use screen capture when the answer depends on what is visible
This is helpful when the problem is inside another app, image, or document.
Use text grabber when the important text already exists elsewhere
This saves time and usually gives Hepi cleaner input than retyping everything manually.
Ask a follow-up instead of starting over immediately
If the first answer is close but not quite right, a short follow-up often works better than rewriting the whole prompt from scratch.
What You'll See
In a typical conversation, you'll see your original question followed by Hepi's response. You can then use the input field at the bottom to ask a follow-up—Hepi remembers the previous context of the thread.
What Good Assistant Use Looks Like
A good Assistant usage pattern usually means:
- Starting with a clear question
- Adding only the context that matters
- Using follow-up questions to narrow the result
- Starting a new chat when the topic has clearly changed
Common Mistakes
- Asking something too vague and expecting a precise result
- Pasting too much unrelated context
- Using Assistant when a more specific tool like Quiz Answer would be faster
- Continuing the same thread after the topic has completely changed
Tip
Use Chat Assistant for open-ended help. If you are trying to solve a quiz-style prompt quickly, Use Quiz Answer may be a better fit.
