Meeting Assistant
Resolve issues with missing transcripts, audio input errors, floating window visibility, and unexpected session terminations.
The Meeting Assistant is a complex tool that coordinates audio capture, live transcription, and AI response generation. Use this guide to resolve common issues with your live sessions.
No Transcript Appears
- Wrong Audio Mode: Ensure you have selected the correct mode for your session:
- System Audio: Use this to capture sound from other apps (Zoom, Teams, Browser, etc.). No microphone is needed.
- Microphone: Use this to capture your own voice or ambient sound in the room.
- Privacy Settings: Confirm that Windows has granted Hepi permission to access your microphone or system audio stream.
- Silent Audio: The transcription engine requires a minimum volume level. Ensure the source application is not muted and the volume is audible.
Missing Responses or AI Delay
- Stable Connection: Meeting Assistant requires a continuous internet connection to stream audio to the AI. If your connection drops, transcription will pause.
- Silence Threshold: If there is no talking for a long period, Hepi will wait for new audio before generating any insights or responses.
- Model Loading: On your first session of the day, there may be a slight delay while the AI model initializes.
Floating Response Window is Missing
The Floating Response Window is designed to stay on top of other apps, but it can sometimes be moved or hidden:
- Toggle Visibility: Use the button inside the main Meeting Assistant interface to show or hide the floating window.
- Check Other Screens: If you use multiple monitors, the window may have been moved to a secondary screen.
- Ghost Mode: If Ghost Mode is active, the window will be semi-transparent and may be harder to spot.
Session Stopped Unexpectedly
- Points Depletion: The most common reason for a session stop is running out of Meeting Points. Check your balance in the dashboard.
- Idle Timeout: To save points, Hepi may automatically end a session if no audio is detected for an extended period.
- Sign-In Required: If your session was extremely long, you may need to re-verify your entitlement by signing out and back in.
