Proven Undetectability in SEB

Hepi’s detection resistance inside Safe Exam Browser is airtight. Trusted by thousands of users across hundreds of real exams, it has never produced a single confirmed detection incident.

Hepi operates entirely within system memory — it does not touch, modify, or leave traces in SEB’s permanent files. The moment your session ends, every trace disappears.

Session Recovery (Isolated Desktop)

During isolated Safe Exam Browser sessions, Hepi runs a background Guardian process alongside Hepi Sidekick. If Hepi ever crashes mid-session, the Guardian automatically restores your normal Windows desktop — so you will not be left stuck inside a locked environment.

This recovery mechanism only applies to isolated desktop sessions. In normal desktop mode, SEB does not lock your environment, so no recovery process is needed.

Before Your Exam

  • Test your setup in advance. Run a full dry-run before the real exam to confirm your permissions, Pro+ plan, and SEB mode are all working correctly.
  • Launch Hepi as Administrator. SEB features require elevated privileges. Always right-click Hepi and choose “Run as Administrator” before starting your exam.
  • Install updates before the session. When Hepi notifies you of a required update, install it ahead of your next exam.
Antivirus software
Because Hepi works across application boundaries in memory, some security software may flag it. Add Hepi to your antivirus allow list if prompted.
